Results and timeline
How long until I see results?
Carotenoids build up in your skin slowly, so this is a gradual change and not an overnight one. Most people follow the same arc.
- Week 1 to 3. The first signs. Skin often looks a little warmer, especially in indoor light.
- Week 4 to 8. Other people start to notice. This is when you get "have you been away?"
- Week 8 to 12. Full saturation. The change is clear in the mirror.
Take one softgel every day. Being consistent matters more than anything else.
I have taken it for a month and I see nothing. Is it working?
One month is not enough, and that is not a brush off. Carotenoids need 8 to 12 weeks to reach full levels in skin tissue. Most people who quit at week 4 quit right before the change shows.
Keep going. Take a photo every couple of weeks in the same spot and the same light, because you will not spot the change by memory. Then compare at week 12. If you get to 90 days and still see nothing, that is exactly what the guarantee is for.
How dark will I get?
Not very dark, and that is on purpose. This is a warm, healthy tone, not a deep sun tan. Most customers say it makes them look rested rather than tanned.
One of our own reviews puts it honestly: "It is very subtle and shows up more in indoor lighting." If you want a dramatic color change in two weeks, this is not that product.
Will it turn me orange?
No. Orange skin comes from taking a big dose of beta-carotene on its own. We do not do that.
Zephyrian uses three carotenoids that balance each other out. Astaxanthin brings red undertones, lycopene brings surface warmth, and a supporting dose of beta-carotene adds golden balance. The result is a believable tone, not a costume.
Does the color last if I stop taking it?
It fades slowly over several months as your skin renews itself. This is a slow fade, not a switch. It does not wash off, streak, or come off on your sheets the way a self-tanner does.
Do I have to take it forever?
Only if you want to keep the tone. Most customers stay on it because stopping means fading back. There is no dependency and nothing rebounds when you stop.
Does it work in winter?
Yes. Zephyrian does not need sun to work. The color comes from carotenoids stored in your skin, not from UV. Winter is one of the most popular times to start, because you have time to build up before summer.
Why does everyone else notice before I do?
You see your face every day, so a slow change is close to invisible to you. That is also the reason it looks natural on you and not on a filter.
The most common feedback we get is not what someone saw in the mirror. It is what someone else said to them.
How it works
How does Zephyrian actually work?
You already eat carotenoids every day. They are the pigments in tomatoes, carrots, and salmon. Your body stores them in the fat layer just under your skin, and they carry a warm color with them.
Zephyrian gives you a concentrated daily dose, so the level builds up well past what a normal diet delivers. The color is real, and it is in your skin rather than on it.
Is this melanotan or a peptide?
No. Zephyrian contains no melanotan, no peptides, and no hormones. Nothing in it is injected and nothing in it is a research chemical.
It does not touch your melanin system at all. It is a food based carotenoid supplement, and the color comes from pigment stored in your skin.
How is this different from a self-tanner?
A self-tanner is a dye that sits on the surface. It streaks, it smells, it transfers onto clothes and sheets, and it is gone in about a week.
Zephyrian works from the inside. There is nothing to apply, nothing to wash off, and nothing to redo before an event.
How is this different from a plain beta-carotene supplement?
Plain beta-carotene at a high dose is exactly what turns people yellow-orange. It is also the cheapest carotenoid, which is why most tanning pills use it on its own.
Lycopene costs several times more than beta-carotene, and astaxanthin costs many times more again. We use all three anyway, because that is what makes the tone land natural instead of orange.
Can I just buy the three ingredients separately?
You can. Two things usually change people's minds.
First, three separate products at these doses normally cost more than one. Second, cheap single ingredient supplements are often dosed far lower than they look. Zephyrian is 30mg lycopene, 16mg astaxanthin, and 16mg beta-carotene in one softgel, in coconut oil to help you absorb them.
If you are comparing, compare the mg on the label, not the ingredient names on the front.
Does it protect me from the sun? Can I skip sunscreen?
No, and please do not. Zephyrian is not a sunscreen, it has no SPF, and it does not replace one. Keep using sunscreen exactly the way you do now.
Can I still sunbathe or use a tanning bed?
Yes. Zephyrian works alongside whatever you already do. It does not block a real tan, and a real tan does not block it.
Is there real science behind this?
Carotenoids and skin color have been studied for decades, including work on skin tone, hydration, and elasticity. That research is why the formula looks the way it does.
To be straight with you: Zephyrian is a supplement, not a drug, and our specific product has not been through drug trials. You can read the research we work from on our science page.
Why does the label say it is not intended for smokers?
Older studies gave heavy smokers a high dose of beta-carotene and found a raised lung cancer risk in that group. The beta-carotene in those studies was synthetic, made in a lab.
Ours is not. Our beta-carotene is natural and comes from algae. We still print the warning, because we would rather be careful than clever. If you smoke, talk to your doctor before you start.
Taking it daily
How many softgels do I take?
One a day. That is the full dose. Taking more does not speed anything up.
When should I take it?
With a meal that has some fat in it. Carotenoids need fat to absorb properly.
We recommend breakfast, because it is the easiest one to remember. Any meal with some fat in it works just as well, so lunch with olive oil or dinner is fine too. Pick the time you are most likely to stick to.
How much fat counts as enough?
Not much at all. A normal meal with olive oil, butter, eggs, nuts, avocado, cheese, or meat is plenty. Each softgel also carries coconut oil of its own, which helps.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing bad happens. Take your next one at the usual time. Do not double up to catch up.
How long does one pouch last?
28 softgels at one a day, so 4 weeks.
Can I open the softgel or mix it into food?
Technically you can, but we do not recommend it. The oil inside will probably taste bad.
The oil is not filler. Carotenoids are fat soluble, so the oil is what carries them into your body. That is also why tanning gummies come up short: a gummy cannot hold this much oil, so it holds less of everything. Swallow the softgel whole with water and you get the full dose.
How should I store it?
Somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sun. A cupboard is fine.
If a pouch arrives warm from a hot delivery van, let it cool down before you handle the softgels so they do not stick together. If anything looks wrong with your pouch, email support@zephyrian.shop and we will replace it.
Can I take it with my other supplements?
Usually yes. These are food nutrients, not drugs.
If you already take a high dose astaxanthin, beta-carotene, or vitamin A supplement, add up your totals so you are not doubling your dose. If you take prescription medication, ask your doctor first.
Safety and ingredients
What is in it? Exact doses please.
Per softgel:
- Lycopene 30mg, from tomato
- Astaxanthin 16mg, from Haematococcus pluvialis algae
- Beta-carotene 16mg, from Dunaliella salina algae
All three carotenoids are naturally sourced. None of them is a synthetic copy made in a lab.
The carrier is coconut oil, and it earns its place. Carotenoids are fat soluble, which means your body can only take them in alongside fat. The oil is what gets them absorbed.
The softgel shell is bovine gelatin, glycerin, and water. That is the whole formula. Nothing else is in there.
Made in a facility that may process common allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, sesame).
This product is manufactured under strict GMP quality and purity standards. Each batch is third party tested to be free of contaminants.
Is it safe to take every day?
Yes. It is built to be taken every day.
All three ingredients are permitted for use in supplements in the US, the UK, and the EU. Zephyrian is made in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility and third-party tested for purity and potency.
These are the same carotenoids you get from tomatoes, carrots, and seafood, concentrated into one softgel.
Are there side effects?
Most people have none. The one we hear about occasionally is mild stomach upset when it is taken on an empty stomach, which is why we say take it with a meal.
If you notice anything that worries you, stop taking it and speak to your doctor.
Is it FDA approved?
No supplement is. The FDA approves drugs, not dietary supplements, so any brand telling you their supplement is FDA approved is not being straight with you.
What the FDA does do with food ingredients is classify them. The classification you will see quoted is GRAS, which stands for Generally Recognized As Safe. In plain language it means qualified experts have looked at the evidence for that ingredient and agree it is safe to eat at the amounts used. It is the same footing everyday food ingredients sit on. It is not drug approval, and it is not a claim that a product treats anything.
What we can tell you is real: our ingredients are permitted for use in supplements, and the facility that makes Zephyrian is FDA-registered and GMP-certified.
Is it vegan?
No. The softgel shell is made from bovine gelatin.
All three active ingredients are plant and algae sourced, but the shell is not vegan. We know that rules it out for some people, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it.
We are looking at options to make it vegan. The problem to solve is oxidation. Carotenoids in oil break down when air and light reach them, and the shell is what keeps them out. We will not move to a shell that protects the ingredients less well, so we are still testing.
What about allergens?
Zephyrian contains no milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nut, peanut, wheat, soy, or sesame ingredients. The astaxanthin comes from algae, not from shellfish.
The label says the rest plainly: made in a facility that may process common allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, sesame). So we cannot promise there is no trace cross contact. If you have a severe allergy, show the label to your doctor before you start.
This product is manufactured under strict GMP quality and purity standards. Each batch is third party tested to be free of contaminants.
Is it gluten free and dairy free?
There is no gluten and no dairy in the formula. Because it is made in a shared facility, we cannot certify it as free from traces.
Can I take it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not recommend it. There is not enough research on these doses in pregnancy, so the honest answer is to wait, and to ask your doctor or midwife.
I take medication or have a health condition. Can I take it?
Ask your doctor first and show them the label. That includes anyone on prescription medication, anyone with a liver, kidney, or thyroid condition, and anyone with a history of skin cancer.
We are not able to give medical advice and we are not going to guess about your health.
Will this affect my eyes?
No, it will not.
People ask because of canthaxanthin. That is a different carotenoid, and old tanning pills used it at very high doses. At those doses it was linked to crystal deposits in the retina. The story stuck to the whole category, so anything called a tanning pill gets the same question.
Zephyrian contains no canthaxanthin. Our three carotenoids are the ones you already eat in tomatoes, carrots, and seafood, and none of them carries that effect. If you already have an eye condition, check with your eye doctor anyway.
Can teenagers take it?
It is made for adults. We do not sell it for anyone under 18.
Is it tested?
Yes. Every batch is third-party tested for purity and potency. The date of the most recent report is shown on the product page.
I bought Zephyrian before August 2026. Is my product different?
Yes. We reformulated on 1 August 2026. The pouch now holds 28 softgels at one a day, with higher doses of all three carotenoids.
The old bottles held 60 capsules of a lower dose formula. If you still have an older bottle, follow the directions printed on that label.
Skin and suitability
I am extremely pale and nothing has ever worked. Will this?
This is who we built it for.
You are not adding melanin, you are adding warmth, so it does not depend on your ability to tan. Very fair skin often shows the change more clearly than olive skin, because there is less color there to start with.
Be realistic about the size of it. This is a warm, healthy tone, not a deep tan.
I am a redhead and I burn instead of tanning. Does that matter?
No. Burning instead of tanning is about melanin. Carotenoid color does not use melanin at all, so it works whether or not you can tan.
Will it darken my freckles or moles?
No. It does not darken existing spots.
What it does is warm up your overall base tone, which often makes freckles stand out a little less by comparison. It will not remove them either.
Keep having any mole that changes shape or color checked by your doctor, exactly as you would anyway.
I have melasma or hyperpigmentation. Will it make it worse?
It does not target pigment, so it should not darken those patches.
Melasma is unpredictable and is driven mostly by sun and hormones. If yours is active right now, ask your dermatologist before you start.
Does it work on darker skin tones?
Yes, it works the same way on any skin tone. The effect is a warm shift rather than a dramatic one, so it tends to read as more subtle on skin that already has depth.
I have very sensitive skin. Does that matter?
No. Nothing goes on your skin, so there is nothing on the surface to react to.
Will my palms or feet turn orange?
No. Orange palms are a sign of very high beta-carotene taken on its own. Our beta-carotene is a supporting dose inside a balanced blend, which is the whole reason the blend exists.
Does it do anything other than tone?
Carotenoids are studied for skin hydration and elasticity as well as tone, and some customers mention their skin feels better. We only promise the tone.
Shipping and delivery
Where do you ship?
The United States, the United Kingdom, and all EU countries. We do not ship anywhere else at the moment.
When will my order be sent?
Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days, Monday to Friday. Orders placed at the weekend or on a public holiday start on the next business day.
You get a tracking number by email as soon as it ships.
How long does delivery take?
From the day it is dispatched:
- United States: 7 to 12 business days
- United Kingdom: 5 to 8 business days
- European Union: 5 to 8 business days
Busy periods can add a few days. Your tracking page always has the latest status.
How do I track my order?
Every order is tracked. Your tracking number is in your dispatch email, so check your inbox and your spam folder.
You can also track any order at track.zephyrian.shop. If tracking has not updated 5 business days after your dispatch email, email support@zephyrian.shop.
My tracking has not moved in days. Is my parcel lost?
Usually not. There are two normal reasons for this.
One, the label is created before the carrier physically scans the parcel, so it sits at "label created" for a while. Two, it is going through customs clearance, and that step often reports nothing at all until it is done.
Both clear on their own. If nothing has changed after 5 business days, email us with your order number and we will chase it.
My parcel never arrived.
If it has been more than 30 days since your dispatch date, email support@zephyrian.shop with your order number and we will sort it out.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on any order that covers 3 months or more. That includes the 3-Month Results Kit and the larger one-time supplies.
Single month orders pay a flat shipping fee, shown at checkout before you pay.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
No. For the US, UK, and EU all duties and taxes are already included in the price you see. Nothing extra is charged on delivery.
Can I change my delivery address after ordering?
Email support@zephyrian.shop right away with your order number and the correct address.
We dispatch fast, often within 24 hours, so we cannot promise we will catch it. If it has already shipped, you can usually redirect it with the carrier using your tracking number.
Orders, payment, and plans
Which payment methods do you take?
All major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. The exact list varies a little by country.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Tell us as fast as you can at support@zephyrian.shop with your order number.
Most orders leave the warehouse within 24 hours, so we cannot promise to catch it. If it has already shipped, wait for it to arrive and then use the returns process.
My discount code will not apply.
Bundle pricing and discount codes cannot be combined. If you are on the 3-Month Results Kit or another multi-month plan, the discount is already built into the price, so a code will not stack on top of it.
If you think something else is wrong, email us with the code and your order number and we will look.
What is the difference between the plans?
The 3-Month Results Kit sends 3 pouches at once and repeats every 12 weeks. It is the plan we built the product around. It is the lowest cost per day, shipping is free, it includes the travel tin, and the results guarantee is live from day one.
Monthly Delivery sends one pouch every 4 weeks. It costs more per day, shipping is not free, and the guarantee starts from month 3.
There are also 6 and 12 month options, and one-time purchases if you would rather not be on a plan.
Why do I have to commit to 3 months?
You do not have to. You can buy a single month. We just have a genuinely better deal for you, so let us explain.
Carotenoids take 8 to 12 weeks to reach full levels in skin. One pouch runs out at week 4, right in the middle of the boring part where nothing has visibly happened yet. People who buy one month almost never make it far enough to see the result.
That is also why the guarantee is tied to 3 months. We would rather set you up to actually get there.
Am I on a subscription?
If you chose a delivery plan at checkout, yes. If you chose a one-time purchase, no, and nothing will be charged again.
Your order confirmation email says which one you bought. If you are not sure, email support@zephyrian.shop with your order number and we will confirm it for you in writing.
Can I skip, pause, or cancel a plan?
Yes, any time, and there is no minimum number of orders.
Use the manage subscription link in your order or renewal email, or email support@zephyrian.shop and we will do it for you. You can skip one delivery, move the date, or cancel entirely. Do it before your renewal date so the next charge does not go out.
One thing to know: if you are planning to claim the results guarantee, your plan needs to stay active until the claim is settled.
When am I charged again?
On the same cycle as your plan. The 3-Month Results Kit renews every 12 weeks. Monthly Delivery renews every 4 weeks. You get a reminder email before every charge.
Can I buy Zephyrian on Amazon or in a shop?
No. This website is the only place we sell.
Anything listed elsewhere is not ours. We cannot vouch for what is in it and the guarantee does not cover it.
How do I contact you?
Email support@zephyrian.shop. We reply within 24 hours on business days. Include your order number if you have one, because it makes everything faster.
Do you do wholesale, affiliate, or creator partnerships?
We get a lot of these. Email support@zephyrian.shop with the word partnership in the subject line, tell us what you have in mind, and it goes to the right person.
Guarantee and returns
What if it does not work?
You get your money back.
The headline is 150 days. Here is how it actually works. Use Zephyrian for 90 days and document your progress, then claim any time up to day 150.
One step is on you: you have to activate your guarantee. You get simple instructions right after you buy, and it takes about a minute.
It covers your first 3 months. The 3-Month Results Kit qualifies right away. Monthly plans qualify from month 3. Full terms are on the guarantee page.
How do I claim the guarantee?
Activate the guarantee in the Zephyrian app as soon as your order arrives, and keep your photo record there. When you reach day 90, submit your claim in the app.
There is no emailing photos to support, and a claim with no photo record in the app cannot be approved. So activate on day one, before you take your first softgel. It takes a couple of minutes and it is the whole difference between a claim that works and one that does not.
Full details are on the guarantee page.
Why do I have to take photos?
Because you cannot see a gradual change in your own face, and neither can we.
The photo record is the only fair way for either of us to judge it. It is also the thing that most often shows people a result they had stopped noticing.
Do I have to send the product back to get a refund?
No. The refund goes to your original payment method and you keep what you have.
What is your returns policy?
Due to the ingestible nature of our product, it cannot be resold, so we do not offer change of mind returns.
If you believe your product is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, you must contact us within 14 days of delivery by emailing support@zephyrian.shop. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs where relevant.
Returned products must:
- Be accompanied by proof of purchase
- Be in original packaging
- Be in a resalable condition
For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of products that have been opened, used, or tampered with, unless required under consumer law.
Email us before you send anything back. Returns that arrive without approval cannot be processed. Full details are in our refund policy.
My order arrived damaged or wrong.
Email support@zephyrian.shop with your order number and clear photos of the product and the packaging. We fix it at no cost to you.
When do I get my refund?
Once a refund is approved it goes back to your original payment method. Allow up to 10 business days in the US, and up to 14 business days in the UK and EU.
Banks vary. If it has been more than 15 business days, email us and we will chase it.
